Each year, the Construction Industry Round Table (CIRT), challenges ACE students to solve real world problems through discipline-based design thinking and competition. For the 2025-2026 season, CIRT challenged students to propose design solutions to 3 different categories, each with a grand prize of $5,000 in scholarships, with finalists presenting in Washington, D.C., to judges.
In ACE Delaware, students worked together in teams to explore various multidisciplinary design solutions, presenting their final projects at the 2026 ACE Breakfast. We are proud of the amazing work by our students, and hope you will enjoy some highlights from the season below!
Net Zero Data Center
The majority of data centers constructed today demand extreme resources from their local environment. This project is to expand what can be brought into the world of data centers to have a more sustainable approach!
Cultural Destination
The students were asked to locate an existing & underutilized space with cultural relevance & bring it back to life!
Carbon Capture
The rate at which our world is expanding is demanding that our living situations become more inventive through things such as modular building, 3D printing & hybrid/pre-fabrication, etc.
